| Neural
networks and genetic algorithms have
firmly established their place in the
field of artificial intelligence. They
have proven their worth as basic agents
of intelligence in many profitable
applications. However, the idea that
whole companies could -and should- be
modelled as neural networks and that
populations of companies could be
optimized if implemented as genetic
algorithms does not seem to have occurred
to us so far.
